A little bit about my brand
My name is Austin Frias, a passionate individual deeply immersed in the world of sewing and fashion. My journey into this creative realm is rooted in cherished memories and invaluable lessons passed down through generations.
My fascination with sewing began in the warm, comforting presence of my great-grandmother, Bernice Knecht, whose skilled hands and heart, effortlessly transformed fabric into beautiful garments. She was more than just a mentor; she was a storyteller, weaving tales of resilience, artistry, and love into every stitch. Sitting by her side, I learned not only the technical skills of sewing but also the patience, attention to detail, and dedication required to create something truly special. I also learned to never touch “gramma’s shears.”
Her influence ignited a spark within me, inspiring a lifelong passion for fashion. Through each project I undertake, I honor her legacy, bringing her teachings to life with every piece I create. Sewing is more than a craft to me—it’s a connection to my roots, a celebration of creativity, and an expression of who I am.
This journey has shaped my identity, and helped me bring her teachings to a whole new level. I look forward to continuing to explore, innovate, and share the art of sewing and fashion, carrying forward the spirit and lessons I was taught, and passing them into my creative work!
